I need to be heard- IF VOICES

I want to be heard:

The basenji dog does not bark and is therefore known as the "voiceless dog." When happy, the basenji will make a sound described as something between a chortle and a yodel. It also snarls and growls on occasion.

Even when we are considered voiceless, we should stand up and let our voices be heard. Our voices should be our instrument of power against a world full of prejudice and ignorance. We need to be heard.

El decidir

Piezas parte de la exhibición de Otoño en el MFA de Boston 2005. Ispirada en "El Decidir".

Materiales: todo lo que se pueda encontrar en un basudero... Siempre admiré la frase de mi profesora de escultura "Lo que es no deseado por muchos puede ser tu mayor inspiración"

-Choices-
"As a young man my life is so full of choices. Choices about what to wear, where to go, what to do, why, who, what, and when. Choices about everything. It’s like a world of keys for just one door. Pienza principal de la exhibición primaveral en el MFA de Boston del 2003. Enfocada en las conneciones entre lo natural con lo industrial. Parte de mi coleccion "Set of Nature"

-Set of Nature

The beauty of greens and even the smell of natural elements can be perceived in these significant pieces that I have done. When I talk about them as significant I go beyond what the assignment was. Beyond the enlarging of small still lives, beyond looking at them really close to find the different values of them. I’ve given them a sentiment, my thesis, which is solitude. Solitude as the first leaf of spring, solitude as the last leaf of fall.-
